The life & Times Of...

"Retrospect can be a real kick in the pants."

- Me

Semi-professional human being, champion of dinner party conversation, mediocre dancer (with impressive spirit).

The term "life & times" sort of sets the tone for an adventure. You may be thinking, "this is not an adventure, this is a blog. I have been mislead." You're not wrong.

You're also not right. With constant buzz and anxiety about the overwhelming power of the Internet to make or break a reputation, to mislead and over-share, it's easy to miss the perks. I believe in the joys of falling down the virtual rabbit hole, stumbling through blogs, videos, music and art that would never have found me had I not found the courage to click through 300 links earlier.

The opportunity for over-sharing is strong, but the opportunity for sharing things of value is stronger (but we all know The Force is strongest because the Internet lies but Yoda doesn't).

I named this site "Transition Piece" because it's all over the damn place, just like all matter in motion. We're always changing and if we're not, we should be. (Ch-ch-ch-changing, if you're David Bowie.)

I hope you find something on this site to be of value to you and if you don't, I hope it leads you to something better.

About Me: I move fast and love a good debate. I believe that a debate is a fight where both parties are fighting to learn and discover. Overall, I try not to opinionate until I at least think I know what I'm talking about.

I'll let this site speak for itself but I must warn you that I dislike pizza. If that's something you feel strongly about and you need to end this charade here and now, I will understand.

Contact me on any of my social channels, email me (lauren.e.yobs@gmail.com), or forever hold your peace.
