Let's Get Tropical: Sneakers
I live in Syracuse, New York, which for 85% of the year is synonymous with the word "bleak," the emoji "raincloud" and the colloquialism "chilled to the bone." However, things are starting to warm up...three weeks before graduation, but beggars can't be choosers I suppose.
Now that I don't have to wear knee-high boots with three pairs of socks to ward off frostbite, my mind is on summer. More specifically, summer footwear. Most specifically, sneakers.
For whatever reason, sneakers are currently 'in' on every level of the fashion hierarchy. I see them in Vogue, I see them in Target. They're everywhere and they're on everyone. They're like a Prius.
Tropical prints are practically invading right now and sneakers are not the exception. The best part? You can wear them in the winter and it's pretty much the equivalent of a Vitamin D supplement. (This statement has not been approved by the FDA...yet.)
